August  2003

During August John leveled the ground, directly below the lounge room windows, in preparation for the new tank. (photo one)

The tank arrived during mid august, visible in photo two. The run off is piped around the upper window into the 400 ltr tank.

We also had a smaller 1500 ltr tank delivered at the same time. This was placed at the back north hand side of the house,

directly below the balcony. (photo 3)

The establishment of new beds, continued throughout August. In photo one, the front south side bed was being built up

by home made compost. The bed at the front of the property, underneath the large liquid Amber, was originally filled

with rocks. After the removal of these rocks some dirt was introduced. However, a good percentage was retrieved from

the tank excavation, and through the compost making procedure.  Also during August we extended the south fence bed

in the back yard. Visible in photo two. We also composted and planted lucerne on the fence line, at the rear of our

property. Visible in photo three. This rear lane is shared with our neighbors, and is marked as as a 'road'.
