| The area in front of the bedroom window was cleared and the ground leveled . A large hole for the tire pond was dug, and the tank water placed into the pond. Towards the end of winter diachondra, a native lawn, was planted on the south side of the garden. |
During winter the crops grew slowly on the south side of the fence. Some of the manure crop growing, on the top north bed, included lettuce and silver beet. I transplanted some of these seedlings around the garden during winter. |

This amazing garden is where I grew up. My father was an avid gardener, and the property always looked different year to year. My mother now maintains the garden. I have added it to my web site as a place of interest. |
